Who can join Southern Crossings?
Membership is open to South Africans in Australia and people with a meaningful connection to the South African business community. Our members include professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, business owners and directors across a wide range of industries.
Which membership level is right for me?
Green Membership is designed for professionals, managers, emerging leaders and business owners building their networks. Gold Membership is for established business leaders, senior executives and experienced company directors and requires a referral from an existing Member. Platinum Membership is an invite-only membership reserved for recognised leaders who have operated at significant scale and want to help shape the Southern Crossings community. Platinum Member applications requires a referral from an existing Platinum Member.
How much does membership cost?
Green Membership is $295 plus GST per year. Gold Membership is $890 plus GST per year. Platinum Membership fees are available on request.
Is membership automatically approved?
Green applications are reviewed for eligibility.
Gold memberships requires a referral from an existing Member. Platinum memberships requires a referral from an existing Platinum Member.
Both Gold and Platinum memberships are also subject to committee approval.
Can I upgrade my membership later?
Yes. Members can apply to progress through the membership pathway as their experience, leadership and involvement in the Southern Crossings community develops. Upgrades are subject to committee approval.
How do renewals and cancellations work?
Your membership renews annually using your nominated payment method. You can cancel your renewal at any time before the next renewal date by contacting Southern Crossings or through the online portal. Your membership and benefits will remain active until the end of the current paid membership period.
Are event tickets included in membership?
Membership provides access to member events and member pricing. Most event tickets are purchased separately. Platinum Membership will include one annual ticket to the National Awards Gala when that programme launches.
Can I attend an event before becoming a member?
Yes. Selected events are open to guests and prospective members. Non-members may pay a higher ticket price for paid events. Some leadership forums, private dinners and premium events are restricted to eligible membership levels.
Is Southern Crossings only based in Sydney?
No. Southern Crossings is building a national Australian network. Event availability varies by location as the national programme develops.
Is Southern Crossings a referral or sales network?
No. Southern Crossings is relationship-first. Overt selling, unsolicited promotion and access to members for prospecting are not permitted.
What is expected of members?
Members are expected to support fellow members, respect the privacy of the community and contribute to a welcoming and constructive environment.
How do I apply?
Complete the application form for Green or Gold Membership. Platinum Membership is invite-only; suitable candidates may register their interest or be contacted directly by Southern Crossings.
